To get you prepared for the winter season, let’s take a look at some international artists you may not know yet, but will definitely know sooner then later.

These are our Top 5 International Artists to look out for.

top-5-int-kaiqKaiq is an extremely talented DJ & Producer from Curitiba, Brazil. He brings elements of nature, funk and soul into his music production, giving it a classic South American sound. While only being around a few years, he has had his work supported by some of the greats like Roger Sanchez, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire & Luciano. Kaiq has definitely made a name for himself in 2016, but expect him to make a bigger splash in the upcoming year with an endless amount of productions that continue to hit the charts. Kaiq’s January release “Harmonica” under Mushroom Smile has attracted one of the biggest names in the house world; Marco Carola, who constantly played the track throughout the year.

top-5-int-dennis-cruz2016 has been a year to remember for the man from Madrid. Cruz released some of his biggest tracks on many labels this year including Saved, Deeperfect, Glasgow Underground, Suruba X, Stereo Productions, Material and Lemon-Aid Music (just to name a few). His numerous chart topping tracks have been showcased in sets by almost every DJ around the globe and Dennis continues to sit high on the Beatport Top 10. While 2015 saw Dennis receive a nomination for “Best Tech-House Spanish Artist” and “Best Male Spanish Artist” at the Vicious Music Awards, 2016 led him to his first trip to Canada. We expect Cruz to have an even bigger year in 2017; don’t be surprised to see these nominations turn into wins and more countries added under his belt.

top-5-int-matthew-limaBorn in Lima, Peru and moving across the world to growing up in Italy has given Matthew Lima the ability to draw from a range of different cultures; it is evident in his work. Lima has worked in the studio with names that resonate with a lot of people; Neverdogs, Leon & Joey Daniel of Music On as well as Martin Patino of Cadenza Music are just a few. But you can bet that after the 2016 season in Ibiza that saw Matthew play an endless amount of afterparties and gigs, the names will continue to grow. His wide range of sound is evident through his own imprints, Amazing Music Recording & his sub-label Amazing Lab. Both labels continue to showcase unique music from artists around the world and will continue to be a label to keep an eye on for 2017.

top-5-int-enrico-bellanComing from Rovigo, Italy, Enrico Bellan is a Tech House DJ and producer who is quickly climbing the ranks as being one of the most exciting names to rise out of Italy. He has a special style that is widely accepted and supported. Bellan has released under a number of big name labels including Azul Tunes, Lemon-Aid Music and Red Drum Music while just adding Deeperfect to the list. His edit of “The Bomb!” with fellow country man, Francesco Squillante made waves across Ibiza summer, being played at Amnesia every week during Music On. He has been a major key in the success of growing labels with his original mixes and remixes receiving support from Marco Carola, Leon & Joseph Capriati to just name a few; This is only the beginning for the young Italian and we expect to see him on the world scale sooner then later.

We expect the groovy tech and deep house sounds of Arno Stolz to become household in the tech house/minimal community with the sky as his limit!

Cabana Music is an independent record label based out of Brazil and is run by two up and coming artists in the underground scene that go by Kaiq & Nik Ros. The two have been working closely together for quite some time, building their sound and label around an ideal and concept that focus solely on music. Quality is their number one asset; it’s evident throughout all of their releases. They have a superb ear for new and exciting music with a number of artists who frequently release and remix on the label beginning to, and already growing to international stars.

The label has received tremendous support from industry heavyweights in the form of Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati & Paco Osuna (just to a name a few) playing out a number of Cabana Music releases on a regular basis. Though the label is still relatively new, founded in 2013, Kaiq & Nik Ros are determined to continue to push for quality music and stand up artists to work with to help spread their sound and vision.

Cabana Music was established in 2013 by Kaiq & NIk Ros, how did the two of you meet and decide to start a label?
We had similar thoughts when we decided to start this label and our productions were becoming much more alike. Because of a long conversation, we began to produce together and with similar tastes & ideas, we decided to start the label with 2 of our original tracks.

The label has released music for artists who seem to be on the rise to super-stardom, what’s the process for picking and releasing new music?
From our very first release, we began to gain support from a number of good producers which eventually came to join the label, and from these contacts came new friends, which resulted in a chain. In our projects directed to other labels, we were able to create new contacts, and that’s the point. Similar producers deal with us, and this directly influences the concept to our label. In our selection process we test demos in the club, we listen in the car, and we take our conclusions from there. Sometimes we do remixes for the artist too.

How do you plan on taking Cabana Music to an international scale outside of Brazil?
Since we launched, we always seek something different in the market. Speaking at the international scale, we seek to maintain a sound that is in line and that has also matured with the “Cabana” sound. We are also and often working on experimental songs that surprise the listener.

What does the future look like for both Kaiq & Nik Ros? Are either of you planning on starting a side project?
We plan to continue with our label project, while we take our solo projects on in a parallel way. For the next year we intend to produce our first album, due out exclusively on our label, and also the start a new project seeking more experimental sounds and artists alike.

What’s the plan for 2015 and moving into the future for Cabana Music?
We are in contact new artists that we can not yet disclose, and which promise to be good surprises. We have many different goals, and we are working towards showcases in other cities even perhaps to other countries. We are also aiming for new releases on vinyl and limited accessories store.

Thank you for the time boys & hope to see the label grow on a large scale!
